Passionate supporters of the pop star are demanding that a individual who jumped a barricade and grabbed the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the Australian man bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet surrounded by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents showed that he was due to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed includes clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over the Star's Well-being

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further message on Instagram.

A number of fans also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Many of fans had assembled in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-film version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which centers on the surprising friendship between two distinct witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and received 10 award recognitions, earning several for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
