I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
