Newest Refinery Strike Shows 'No Protected Areas in the Russian Far Hinterland'
Ukraine's drones have hit the Russian oil processing plant in the city of Ufa, positioned around 1,400 kilometres from Ukraine, resulting in detonations and a inferno, according to a source in Ukraine's Security Service.

Ukrainian President Urges Trump to Facilitate Peace in the Conflict

A pair of individuals were killed within a church in the town when it was hit, per local authorities.
In the Russian adjacent territory of the Belgorod region, a truck driver was killed by a Ukrainian strike, according to local officials.
Power Repair Work in the Capital
Operations continued on the weekend to restore power in the Ukrainian capital, after Russian attacks.
Power had been restored to over 800,000 inhabitants by Saturday and the largest private energy company said the main operations to restore power was complete though some outages continued.
Air Defence Operations and Drone Interceptions
The Ukrainian defense forces downed or disrupted fifty-four of 78 Russian drones deployed towards the country during the night, the military reported on Saturday.
Russia's military authorities said it shot down 42 UAVs from Ukraine over the country's airspace.
Cuba Refutes Claims of Sending Troops to Ukraine
Havana on Saturday denied American assertions it has provided troops to fight in the Ukraine war, while affirming the government "do not have exact data about citizens of Cuba" participating "voluntarily" or "within the troops of the conflicting parties".
The government department in Havana stated twenty-six Cuban citizens had been given prison terms to incarceration from five to 14 years for mercenary involvement since the autumn of 2023 when news spread of individuals being sent to the frontlines in Ukraine.
I Want to Live Program Reports Data on Cuban Recruitment
The program, a Ukrainian government program that promotes opposing fighters to lay down arms, said in May: "Our information indicates the personal data of 1,028 Cubans who signed contracts with the Russian armed forces in recently."
The government in Havana commented of Cuban nationals who might be engaged: "It is irrefutable that no individual have the support, allegiance, or consent of the government in Havana for their activities."
Family members of Cuban nationals who left for the Russian Federation in the year told news outlets at the time that their loved ones had been deceptively recruited through ads on social media.
