The Renowned Musician Encourages Public Help to Send Palestinian Solidarity Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A charity drive is aiming to launch a Palestinian lullaby to the top of the UK charts. The effort aims to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian cultural expression.

A Chance for Unity and an "Surprise Victory"

Composer and producer Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a chance to stand with Palestinians during the holidays. He remarked the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“It would be fantastic if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I’m not gonna be completely let down if it fails to, holiday tracks are a unique phenomenon.”

Powerful Theme of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the adaptation of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“It has a very special place for many individuals,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would prefer a dignified death than live a life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we desire to exist a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Recording Origins and Featured Artists

The single was laid down following a solidarity show held in September. Initially planned to be captured during the live event, the rendition was omitted from the lengthy event due to time constraints.

The diverse array of artists featured on Lullaby features a range of acclaimed names from the music world. All were part of the earlier concert, which successfully generated a considerable total for humanitarian aid.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was crafted by a group of producers and composers. The song showcases a fusion of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.

The organizers behind the project have stated that their objective is to collect the highest amount for a dedicated fund. These resources will be distributed to Palestinian causes through an established charity.

“We don’t have a rigid aim,” a spokesperson commented. “We’ll go for as much as possible. Of course, the more the merrier. Every penny goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The reality in the area was characterized as its extreme devastation, with a huge proportion of buildings reportedly in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a handful of millions won't make a massive dent. But I think what does make a difference is primarily raising awareness for this issue and proving there’s another side to the story.”

The song is set to be released on Friday. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made ready to watch on a popular streaming site from the 19th of December.
