Uche Fuels Comfortable Crystal Palace Victory at Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS ought to be enough to secure direct entry to the last 16, especially after a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Moment
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second game in succession.

The match was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
